A vibrant atmosphere filled the grounds at Motiv on Saturday, January 27th, as we finally welcomed the highly anticipated premiere of the "Borders" TV series, the latest project by acclaimed filmmaker Daphne Ampire Karema.
This 15-episode mini-series, commissioned by the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) Content Fund, promises a captivating journey of love, ambition, and culture.
Daphne Ampaire Karema, a graduate of the Maisha Film School famously known for her role in the popular Ugandan series "The Hostel," has undoubtedly worn many hats throughout her film career as a writer, director, and actor. But her production company, Floating Duck Productions, allowed her to take flight with "Borders fully." This opportunity arose thanks to the UCC's call for original work which Karema seized with full determination.
